I recently delivered an OPG factory stripe kit to the paint shop because I wanted factory stripes on my 70. After the initial "Wow my car looks good" the ""What's wrong with my stripes?" kicked in. After the fact, I called OPG to find out if placement instructions are included in the kit and they are not.

I took it for granted that the body shop would have reference or at least ask if they did not know how to install stripes. Does anyone know where can I find correct placement instructions for the factory stripes?

If you have the later stripes, these are the specs:

Width:
main stripe: hood 9.63" deck: 9.63"
pin stripe: .30"
gap between main and pin: .28"

Length: (from front edge of hood/rear edge of deck lid)
main stripe: hood: 1.53" deck: 1.38"
pin stripe: hood: .95" deck: .80"


Overall centering:

(outward from centerline)
hood: 1.66"
deck: 1.68"

(inward from outer crease)
hood: 2.28"
