Hi guys and gals. Name is Andy. I guess I should have joined this site a LONG time ago (at the ripe old age of 30 LOL) but back when I had my first Chevelle I didn't even know what automotive forums were.

Had a 71 Malibu 350 from 00-02 and had to sell it due to the distance from work and not being able to afford an OD trans at the time or the gas or any resto work. I regret it but hey, desperate times and all. So I am coming back from the darkside of import cars to another 71 soon I hope. Ironically the same guy who sold me the first one will be selling me this one.

So just wanted to introduce myself and hopefully you guys can give me lots of help in the near future on the mods I will be doing. Here's a picture of it from before I sold it.

I want to know the same thing. I bought a '70 Camino, new, that was Black Cherry, but subsequent paint jobs have made it plain maroon. Am about to re-do it and was leaning towards a non-original crimson, but really like the color on the car you sold.

Please do tell us what color it was!

I thought it was burgandy and it looked like it was repainted from green due to the fact that in certain areas the original green was showing through. I'd have to ask the guy who sold it to me who will be selling me the new car. I'll let you know then. Thanks for the welcomes. I'll get up pics of the new car as soon as i get it.

In the meantime here's some more pics of the old car. Needed paint badly and it looked like it used to be a vinyl top car.

Looks to be Rosewood. (Hard to tell with the lighting) Black cherry is much darker..

So just got back from GOODGUYS car show and HOLY CRAP! I dont think I have ever seen so many classic cars in one place EVER. If you guys ever get the chance to go make sure you do and bring comfy shoes cause that is a LONG walk.
