While my driveshaft was being redone today, I changed the drivers side rear axle seal.

Got all but one bolt out of the cover, and had to grind the head off to get the cover off. So I guess it's a 9 bolt now?

This is going to be fun...

Got the crosspin bolt out, whew!

Then the drivers side c-clip had to be hammered out. Never seen this!

Put the new seal in. Only did the leaky side.

Finally got the pinions back in....

Ground the c-clip thinner and put it back

Left the broken cover bolt in place and put it back together.

As in my other post, with the reworked driveshaft, it is now much smoother.
