I have an opportunity to get my hands on a very good set of used floor braces that are still attached to the floor pan from a 66 wagon. Car was quite clean and got parted out and the entire floor is being cut out as one peice.

I need a few of them for my 66SS which has a factory console. My question is. Was there a different arch in the braces along the transmission tunnel to accomidated with or without a center console? It does kind of look like they are all the same. Perhaps only the area over the transmission itself is different.

I don't know for certain, but I doubt there's a difference. The console brackets are welded to the top of the tunnel so there's really no need for different bracing.

There is no difference between the floor braces with console or not.Make sure to inspect them very good as rust usually starts on the inside of these parts.
