I am rebuilding a 72 Chevelle Super Sport. I'm looking into getting an 8.2 10 bolt positive unit. It is supposed to fit any early to middle 60's chevelle differential. It came out of a 64 chevy pumpkin van. It has the same 8.2 10 bolt differential as a chevelle has. Will this unit work for me in my chevelle? Any one who could give me some info on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that the gear ratios are the same otherwise they may not interchange. There are 2 different carriers. One is for 3.08 and numerically higher gear ratios, the other is for numerically lower than 3.08.
