I am fixing to totally redo my frame of my 66. I have the body and everything is where I can get to it. Im gonna put new front end bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, I have to clean the frame first though.

I used a little bit of inginuity and got to thinkin. What if you coated the frame wityh like some old used oil or some gooey flamable substance and just set the thing on fire. It would cook all of the crap and gunk off of it but then I thought of this, what if the extreme heat warped the frame or weakened it somehow. what do yall think?

on the other hand I figured I might get it sand blasted. If anyone has taken the sand blast route, how much did you end up paying for it?

Look in the phone book and call any metal fabricator shops in your area. Let your fingers do the walking.

I sand blasted and had primed my frame. Stripped it all down and they did it for $350. I am going to powdercoat it instead of paint also.

Here's another option I'm doing.
