Folks, While I was rebuilding my suspension etc. I figured I would go ahead and replace my factory front disc brake system on my '70 SS with the Wilwood Big Brake kit that I bought from Jegs. The problem I have run into is that once I get the rotor/hub onto the spindle the caliper won't go on the supplied bracket. I need the bracket to be about 3/8" more outboard or the rotor/hub to slide on the spindle ~3/8" more. I used the spacers supplied by Wilwood. This has really got me stumped. I have checked with Wilwood and I allegedly have the correct hub, rotor, bearings and seals. I compared the old seal/bearing with the Wilwood ones and they are the same. It almost appears that the hub should slide on more but to do that the bearing and seal would have to be recessed in the hub body. Anybody done the Wilwood install? I really would like any thoughts you guys have!! Thanks again, Skip

Never mind......The dumb A$$ factor had been invoked! I figured it out...I guess properly reading the instructions would have helped...Oh well...Sometimes the best thing you can do is simply walk away when you are frustrated and come back later with a clear mind. Thanks anyway.
