I am trying to locate an adapter to fit new style shocks to my 1970 Chevelle. The chevelle currently has shocks that have an eyelet bottom brace. The shocks I am trying put on the chevelle have a stud type bottom brace. Does anyone have any idea where I can purchase an adapter to do this swap?

Why are you trying to put the wrong shocks on your car, when you can buy the correct ones?

Because the shocks that I have originally cost $100. I only used them for a few months on my other car, so they are in excellent shape. I also do not have the budget to spend another $100.

I am not recommending this, but it sounds like two pieces of angle iron with one big hole and one smaller hole might work.
P.S. Forget I said that.

You can buy very good shocks that fit for around $15 to $20 each. Sell the ones that don't fit and buy new ones. There is a reason why GM put those shocks on the car. Angle iron??? Your not building a bridge.
