I recently installed a set of Energy Suspension bushings on my 65 which included thrust washers that are to be installed over the bushings steel housing on the side of the arm opposite the normal bushing flange.
Has anybody used these before and are they really needed? Is this something new from Energy as I haven't heard anybody talk about these before.
I'm having noise problems from these thrust washers rubbing on the side of the frame as the suspension moves. I used the gorilla snot Energy grease on all pieces that contact metal surfaces but it still sounds like a rusty door hinge.
I think these washers are a good idea but I think that the large amount of contact area will be hard to keep lubricated.
Thanks
Jeff
