Rake the back-end and handle like a new car? Can't have it both ways, if you rake the rear, which I highly discourage,it is ugly and it adversly affects handling terribly. Sticking the back-end 2 feet in the air to fit N50-15's went out with vans. JMO

Drop the front end into the weeds. That's the style these days and is better performance wise. Keep the center of gravity low.
Raising the rear changes the already poor suspension geometry back there and can worsen wheel hop and handling.

i think the rear sits low on a chevelle stock for a reason so if you keep the rearend with stock spring height with all the good control arm stuff you already have a excellent rear setup you could drop the front suspension 2 inches lowering springs or drop spindles get a low stance for handling mike hoovers 69 in the feature cars has 2 inch drop spindles and has a real nice height and if you wanted to get a rake maybe 1 or 2 inch lowering springs?

thanks for the advice. so a 1-2 in lowering springs up front would do the trick. wht kind of coils and shocks would you recomend for this and were can i get a rear end overhaul kit. thanks again.

everyone here says great things about hotchkis lowering springs ride really well! and it depends on what you want to do with your rear control arms just rebuild your old setup replace with aftermarket stuff if you putting in a rear sway box them its up to you and any performance auto store well sell them up here in canada I use Lordco auto parts or you can go through the companies that make them through the internet
