: help with power steering box superfxr Aug 21st, 04, 11:51 AM Iam converting manual steering to power on 66ss.I was given a gearbox off early jeep cj. Is this the same box as a 92-98 jeep cherokee. #s on gearbox 5691676, #s on alum cover7812145. Also pittman arm is longer & hole for centerlink is smaller than manual arm JIML82 Aug 22nd, 04, 11:19 PM The 1992 1/2 through 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the only Jeep 12.7:1 fast ratio gear that will bolt right into the GM A-cars. Other Jeep gears may still bolt in, but they will not be the fast ratio.
