Did not make any 66s. 64 or 65 2 door wagons only.

None were made by GM

A few custom jobs around. Some are done very well. Too bad GM didn't make them, they look very nice.

Chuck Hanson actually built a very nice one a couple of years ago.

"My workhorse! Driven to all ACES events; hauls tables, popup, magazines, t-shirts, displays, and luggage. Been to west coast twice (6500 miles R/T each time-pic taken @Bonneville salt flats)! This '66 was converted into a 2dr wagon (none factory built in '66) using donor sheetmetal and related structure from a '64 2dr wagon. Powered by a Holley FI'd 350/700R4/3.31 12-bolt posi. Full leather int w/seats from late-model Bonneville, factory A/C, tilt, cd, amp, pwr rear window."

Thanks guys, had not seen it only told i was getting one ,they could be confused about the year model and it might be a 64 - 65. I knew I had never seen one but my knowledge base on malibus is very limited.I am tradeing some restoration work on a 57 handymans wagon for the 2 door wagon

IIRC, Chuck didn't built it... I think Ken Memmel (illinois?) built it, or at least converted it from a 4-door...

I actually never knew that myself. But it would make sense.

I remember photographing it at CB 2002 and again in 2003, long before Chuck purchased it. Very nicely done too!
