Does anyone have a definitive answer as to whether or not a 9" power brake booster installed on a '66 with a 396 will clear tall valve covers? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 1967 SS 396 and I have the Dual diafram 8" booster, It works with plenty of clearance. The 9" should work, If you haven't bought it yet, I would probably go with the 8" to be on the safe side. :D

I'm also using an eight inch dual diaphragm booster off a 79 Firebird in my 72. I have a small block but there's a lot of room around the thing. Takes a common M/C that can be bought just around anywhere.

Thanks for the in-put guys. I appreciate it. I have not yet bought the booster. Does the booster from the 79 Firebird have the correct bracket to mount to the firewall? Any other in-put would be appreciated.

Hey John was the booster just a bolt on. Or did you have to fabricate something to bolt on. Also what master did you use? I am planning to do the same thing on my '70 Elco.
Any help would be appreciated.
