Anyone know the differences between the 68 and the 69-72 steering arm knuckles? Can the years be interchanged?

68 steering knuckles are the same as 69-72. If you have disc brakes, most of the parts that bolt to the 68 knuckles are different from 69. The dust shields, caliper & caliper brackets and brake lines are different.

71SSBB,

Clarify a little more. On a disk brake setup, we're going to assume if it's a 68 that it probably has the 4 piston setup. So yes I could see where the caliper brackets, calipers, dust shields and the hoses would be different than a 69-72. GM lists a different part number for the 68 and the 69-72 steering arm knuckles. Having said that, do you know if the spindles carry the same number applications? If your sure that the arms are inter-changeable from 68-72, the big question is, are all drum and disk brake arms 68-72 inter-changeable?
