I have a '66 SS. 396 Th350. Power Brakes. I have had it for 4 years. Put a new master cylinder in it right when I got it. Brakes have worked very well since then.

Sunday afternoon, started acting up. When I brake to a complete stop and then let off of the brake pedal, the brakes do not let off at all. Normally it will roll forward ( in drive) when I let off. Not now. I could move forward with more accelerator, but it happened at each stop all the way home ( a few miles worth)

Is there some adjustment I need to make. Or repair/replacement? What does it sound like the problem is?

Thanks,

Gerald

do you know which wheel it is? sounds like a bad rubber hose.

Or it is possible that the vent in the M/C cap is clogged. Is it the original type M/C?

1. Not sure about which wheel it is. How would I determine this?

2. Vent in the M/C cap? how do I check this?

If it sounds like I am stupid-- correct! My knowledge is limited to the problems I have encountered before. After I do it once I am ok from there.

Thanks

Gerald
