Just wondering if a say...5 inch tach and speedo from autometer would be able to go in the holes of the SS dash of a 71 or 72? I like the look of the SS dash over the sweep style but i would like a more modern looking gauges.
thanks in advance

5 Inch guages are too big for the large holes in the SS guage panel. You need somehting around 3 1/4 or 3 5 /16. Do some resarch on White Face guages. There are pictures of my dash and a dash done by a guy names Tom Sparks. This is a big effort..swapping guages into the stock dash. It is not a weeked bolt on undertaking. If you decide to do this be prepared for some real fabrication work.
