: Need ONE hard brake line...

Changing out the front drums for disc and found that the short hard line on the donor parts that goes to the driver-side rubber hose is twisted and the line is broken.

I see where Year One, etc sell complete kits wtih all tubes, fittings etc, but it doesn't seem like anyone sells the parts or individuial lines.

Any ideas, or one sitting around in a box in your garage? Hate to spend $100 for one 12" line!

I believe the specialty brake line suppliers will sell the individual line segments. (or at least the right and left pair of that particular segment)

Can always get a length of tube from the parts store and bend it yourself. They sell it in various lengths.

Cool - I was looking at my 2 local Chevelle specialty shops, and both only carry the complete kits...

Thnaks!

Must be nice to have "2 local Chevelle specialty shops".

I just bent new lines for mine. Pretty easy to do even without a bender, although a bender gives more professional looking results.

I usually get mine from the standard assortment rack at Auto Zone. Have had to shorten and reflare them now and then, but it's no biggie if you have a good flaring tool and are careful.

Fine Lines makes the lines that Year-One sells. They also sell retail. Give them a call and see if they can fix you up. Fine Lines (http://www.finelinesinc.com/)
