Man, If I didn't already have one I'd be all over that. I'm a sucker for stock '69 Malibus. They're really rare any more. Most have been modified, hot rodded, customized, etc.

So, what's it worth? I've heard of a rust free rolling body (with extras) selling for $5,000.

I'd say it's worth every bit of $6400. It's not rust free though. Ad says rust on front fenders and at rear window. It has a vinyl top so probably more rust around rear window than visible. I have a hard time believing no rust in quarters. That means no VISIBLE rust maybe, but might have been repaired in past or quarters replaced. Engine tired, probably everything tired. But being it's still original and sounds like it's ALL THERE is worth something to me.

what a strange color combo. decent enough looking car, but the color of the interior would make it less desirable for me.

Von, either your eyes are bad or mine are, but that looks like a painted top to me.
Agree it's desirable because it's all there.

Yep green interiors weren't all that uncommon with gold exteriorss then, but now look strange. The faded cloth inserts make it look two toned. I think I'd have to put a black vinyl top on it if I had it.

1969 Chevelle reduced - $6400 (Henryetta OK)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1969 Chevelle Malibu coupe 307ci 127k miles 2spd power-glide original motor and trans. PS, AC(compressor needs clutch) motor runs but is tired. I drive the vehicle occasionally around town with no problems. The Chevelle has NO Rust in the quarters! The front fenders have some rust and below the rear window has a small amount. Floor pan, doors decklid and trunk are in very good condition. This vehicle was purchased 3/1/69 and kept it's original owner for nearly 31years. I have the protecto-plate which is still stuck to the original owners warranty card, owners manual, state inspection receipts showing mileage, traffic tickets issued to the owner 20years ago and several other documents related to the history of the car. Interior is far above avg. The door panels are nearly perfect needing only the bases which are discolored. Dash is very good with no modifications and still has original AM radio in dash. This vehicle still has the original GM hubcapps on it. $6400 or trade for first gen nova, S10 V8, or fox body mustang of same value. Follow the photobucket link http://photobucket.com/1969chevelle for many photo's. Please contact me through email at normanracing@msn.com. Scammers and consigners dont waste your time.

That car looks pretty solid from the pics. It does look like a white painted top on it. Looks well worth the money IMO from what I can see.

that car looks like its worth the 6400 he is asking. I'd bet theres even water under that bridge to talk him down to 6000 or even a little lower

Hmmm, 69 Malibu, champagne gold, black vinyl top, green interior, where have I seen one of those before? Oh wait, I know...my driveway :)

Wow...I went back and reviewed the Craigslist photos again. That car looks so much like mine did when I bought it, it's scary. The body might even be a tad nicer that mine was. I paid $4,000 in 1998, so I think +/- $6,000 in today's market is a pretty good deal. Wish it was closer, I would be interested.

I know of a 69 in Cartersville Ga for about that amount . If interested I can tell you where it is. Might even get it for less. Same guy has a 68SS that is completely apart with new front fenders for even less.

John, I appreciate it, but I don't have anywhere to keep it if I bought it. I wish this had never been posted, I've been sitting here daydreaming about a way to go to Oklahoma and buy this car, then dreaming and scheming some more about where would I keep it while I was restoring it :) Gotta stay focused...must learn to be satisfied with what I have...do not put your wife and/or bank account over the edge... :)

nice ones. i didn't buy a new 69 in 69 as i didn't like the spear shape of the rear quarter window. i bought a GTO instead.

I think the one in OK is Olympic gold rather than Champagne gold.

The green interior is different..but lets not forget the color of appliances that were "hip" then..Harvest Gold, that green color..

The only issue I wonder is how much rust is UNDER that chrome at the rear window..my 68 looked like that too, until I pulled the trim and realized I would have to rebuild that rear corner!

But still, at least in the NE...that car would go bye-bye in a day!

If that interior was gold, black, or white/black then it would look a lot better, I DO NOT LIKE THAT INTERIOR! It is only about a 2.5 hour drive from me and I would probably check it out if wasn't for that interior! Still a very nice car though!
