I purchased a kit to box some lower rear control arms for a 70' Chevelle. They did not come with any instructions so I am wondering if anyone has a dimension I can use to locate the inserts. Could someone that has a set of these off the car measure from the center of the bushing to the center of the first sway bar hole for me. Thanks

I just did a set, I used a strip of 1/8" steel 19 1/2" long and 2 7/8" wide.

OK, but I already have the parts that I need, what I am in need of is a dimension so that I can locate the inserts in the proper place so that my sway bar ends up in the proper spot. Thanks for the help anyway. I actually considered just making my own inserts but found some pretty cheap on Ebay. :D
actually if you look at your non-boxed arms you will see two holes already in your control arm. These are where the sway bar should mount to. You will need to drill out the holes to fit the correct mounting bolts but you should center the insert on those holes.

Nope, no holes in these arms. The arms came from a parts car that did not have a sway bar installed from the factory. I should have kept my originals to measure the dimensions, but one was bent so I pitched them.

4 3/4" from the end
6" center to center
on the same centerline as the control arm bolt holes.
