When was the first 327 available in the 64. I know it wasn't offered untill later in the model year, but when were the first ones available?

According to the Chevrolet SS Muscle Car "Red Book" the 327 was a mid year introduction. That would be spring of 64? Actually the 327 was first available in 62 in the Corvette and Impala SS.

Thanx guys, I had heard this before but noticed my assembly manual has the 250hp and 300hp 327s and the sheets are dated 1-10-64 and 1-17-64. That's why I asked, I thought maybe they were available earlier.
