My 66 non ac heater controls had two broken levers, so I got the lever repair kit. So far this seems painful.
Any suggestions? How do I get the knobs off the original levers and back on?
Thanks, I am feeling the need for heat..., or at least a defroster...

A LOT of careful prying. I did this to a buddies 66 wagon. I took two bad controls and made one good one. Worked perfect. Good luck.
Well, it looks like I will not have to remove the knobs.
I got two new levers on, and will leave the middlle one on forr now. Shimmed the lever pack tight at the pivot pin, and had to shim the switch up a bit.
Will hook up cables and a heater box next and see if it works.
Love this stuff. Sunday was bfh day on the control arms, tonight was jewelers tools on the heater control.

Ok, i'll bite. How did you get the levers replaced without taking the knobs off.

That was easy, just drilled out the rivets in the first joint. The levers with the knobs and the sliders stay put, I changed out the broken cast levers with the new bent steel replacements.
Seems to work....
Replaced the rivet with the rivet in the kit on one, and used a post bolt on the other.
