I think thats the right name for them. Read a few posts a while back on these and everyone seemed happy with them. Are they only available through the manufacturer or do any of the retailers sell them?

They had a good article from PHR (I think...) on their web site, but the link didn't work when I checked a couple of days ago. As far as I remember, they got very good reviews. If anyone has tried the shoe kit (all drums), I would be interested in hearing about it too.

I have not seen them offered by anyone other then http://www.praisedynobrake.com but they could very well be....I just have not seen them personally.

I have talked with a few people who love their kits. Thats shoes and springs, etc. As far as I know Gene really likes his and said they were an awesome improvement. I would inquire with Gene.

Ok, hope he will drop in and let us know about the pros and cons. Are you going to use them without a booster, MM? I have been thinking about putting discs on my -69, but as it will take new 15" wheels, I'd like to wear out my brand new 14" tires first (I'm such a moron sometimes... why did I buy those graemlins/clonk.gif ). I was hoping that those brake shoes would get me by until then, and hopefully without a booster.

I have a manual MC from a 68 Vette I am going to use so no booster. I would like to go disc as well but will probably go with a BAER set up waaaaay later down the road. Im thinkin' hydro-boost though. Once I get her back together (long ways off) I am going manual w/ 1LE's up front and 11 inch vented drums out back with the praise shoes and spring kit. If I dont like it i'll just swap out MC for a power set up then save for my BAER / Hydro-boost set-up.

If I am not mistaken Gene is currently running 4 wheel manual drums.

I want to stay with my 4 drums(they are power)I have not had any problems stopping yet but I don't drive fast either. I just want to stay with my 14" tires and have better braking available when needed.Anyone have any idea of the cost of these shoes?
