Are the actual brake pedal assemblies the same in 1970, or are there different ones for PB/MB? What about the pushrod? I assume at least those would be different. I have a pedal assembly, but I don't know what brake system it was used with and don't know how to tell. I just want to make sure I buy the correct assembly for a power disc system or if the one I have will work.

Also, what cars can I get the park brake pedal assembly from to fit my 70? I have one from a 72 Lemans and it fits at the firewall where the two studs go through, but nothing is close to supporting the end closest to the handle. Am I missing a bracket, or does it just not interchange to a Chevelle?

Power brake and manual brake pedal assemblies are the same. The only difference is that you put the push rod in the top hole for manual brakes and in the bottom hole for power brakes. The LeMans pedals should work as well.

Maybe you are missing something. Do you have a picture?

I don't know if I'm missing anything or not. The interior is totally stripped right now. What does the front of the park brake assembly mount to? The dash? A bracket? My assembly manual hasn't arrived yet or I'd try to find it in there.

I set the dash assembly up in place and held it with a few bolts and it still don't look to attach anywhere. I'm hoping there is some bracket or something that I need.

I can't really tell by that picture, but is that a bracket just below the fuse panel opening? Maybe that's where the assembly mounts to?

I have a friend who has a 70 Chevelle, but he is never home. I've been trying to catch him for a couple weeks so I could sneek a peek at his. I wonder if he would let me spend an hour crawling all over his car with a notepad...

I just took mine out of my '69 a couple months ago, and remember a bracket that was part of the dash support frame (if memory serves correctly). I don't remember taking it off and bagging it, so yours may be missing/broken on your '70, if the dash support is different. Wouldn't be too hard to fab.
