marvin Jun 9th, 99, 12:15 AM I am thinking about changing out the steering box in my 65 Chevelle to a newer, quick ratio box. My question is, if I change to a newer box it will no doubt require power steering fluid, my old pump uses dexron. Do I continue using dexron or start using power steering fluid? Do I need to change to a later model pump as well? Any help would be appreciated. jimmy Jun 9th, 99, 4:00 PM Marvin, Yes, you should use PS fliud with the new box. As for the pump, I've been using my stock pump with a new box for the past 3 years with no problems. However, you may be able to find a new pump with metric fittings that will fit your application.
