Not looking for anything off the wall crazy or expensive, just want to replace the one's in my 307 Malibu. The one's in it now are off the shelf "Big A Auto parts" brand that were probably installed during the Regan or First Bush era!

I plan on doing the rear's first, as I have the gas tank removed so there is more room to work back there.

ALSO, question, never have done this myself, are the (2) nuts on the upper shock mounting attached to the frame, or are they just regular nuts ??(we're talking the rear absorbers here).

Greetings from Arizona
There is plenty of room to remova rear shocks on a chevelle' if fact its harder to do gas tanks then rear shocks or springs.....
I use Monroe shocks on all my old cars. I like the Sensatracs,
but they make others also and most of them come with
lifetime parts warrenty..couple times a year they sell them buy 3, 4th free
always use parts for free.
If you decide to do rear springs also I like and use Moog Springs
and suspenion parts
GOOD LUCK

I used the Edelbrock IAS, but they are kinda pricey.
