I see alot of you guys have done the B body spindle swap. I looked into doings this years ago. If I remember correctly the reason I didn't do it was the steering arm is longer. Is there a fix for this or is it not a problem. Appreciate any feed back. No fighting, please (read some of the posts in archives)

Length of the steering arm is the cause of the Ackermann being wrong and no there is not an easy way to fix it. Sorry if I'm being blunt.

Ive driven mine 50 miles daily for 3 years.
Steering is a little slower, never had a problem with bumpsteer, works fine for me graemlins/thumbsup.gif

There are many pro's and few cons from my point of view. There is enough fodder on this board to read for days about the swap. Q ship brings up a valid point, but I've always been happy with mine.

I did the B-body spindle swap (global west) and there IS a noticible increase in bumpsteer.
I am pretty happy with mine, though. It does handle a lot better, especially when making quick turns.
Still, knowing what I know now, I might have gone a different route. It is a lot easier to get bigger brakes and better front suspension geometry with the stock spindles than it is to correct the bumpsteer problems with the B-spindles.
