This question on drum brake parts comes from comparing my 70 Chevelle to my 68 Nova...
All the resto places that carry parts for both cars list the front brake shoes as being the same part number between the two cars- the same part for both. However, AutoZone has a different part number for each car, with the Chevelle shoes being cheaper. Is there a difference between shoes for a Nova and shoes for a Chevelle?
Also, AutoZone and the resto places list the front wheel cylinder as being different between Nova and Chevelle. What is the difference?
The reason I am asking is because the Chevelle is getting disc brakes, but it's donating it's drum hardware to my Nova. Since the Nova has Chevelle backing plates and wheel cylinders, I was wondering which set of shoes to get at the Zone.
