Been thinking of getting a set of late model Taurus wheels for my Windstar for quite some time.
A visit to my friendly yard guy ( I am there a lot), and snooping in the yard, I run across, not a C4C, but a mildly front damaged late Taurus with 16" alloys in pretty good shape.
Some more snooping located a set of late S-10 Alloys with BRAND NEW TIRES, still on the C4C Blazer.
Now I have a set of new tires for my Ranger, a better set of S-10 wheels for the 66 Elky, and a set of 16" Taurus Alloys for my Windstar:D.
Been thinking of getting tires for the Ranger before the winter sets in.
Susan keeps losing the plastic wheelcovers on the Windstar, and I am getting tired of giving Ford $96 for each one every couple of months.
(hate those plastic things that the heat here gets to) I think I have the only 96 Windstar in the county with all 4 wheelcovers----cause she gets cranky if one is missing too long.
$150 for the S-10 Wheels, tires, caps, lug covers, lugnuts:D
(the crappy set I bought last year was $275 for wheels alone)
$80 for the Taurus wheels, teeny tiny caps, and chrome lugnuts.
This C4C thing might be good for getting engine serpintine belt systems pretty cheap too----seats, or any type of goody you can think of.
Check these yards often----This guy sold me the wheels for the same price that he gets from the wheel vendors in the area.
I'm sure that some looking around might uncover something you could use on your Chevelle project, or even your daily driver.
