I just installed a quick-ratio steering box and now the turning ratio has been reduced because of the steering box stops.
How does one remove the stops?
Here is the tech reference for the steering box:

Remove the box from your vehicle, dissasemble the box, and machine the pads in the housing.
Sorry, it is not a simple job of unbolting something. Be careful what box you get as they have varying degrees of rotation at the output shaft. Ideally you would probably look for a CP Alpha Code box.
The other option is to send the box to Lee Manufacturing for a rebuild, and he will modify it for you.

There are two stops inside the gear. The first restricts that rack piston travel in the forward (moving toward the front of the car)direction. The restrictor is cast into the underside of the big aluminum end plug. You can either machine the pads off the underside of the plug or just swap an end plug that doesn't have the cast pads.
The other stop is deep inside the gear housing and restricts rack piston travel in the rearward direction. You have to remove the pitman shaft and use an arbor to remove the rack piston (with its balls) from inside the gear. Now you have to reach down inside the gear near the rear bulkhead and remove a snap ring that is seated inside.
The pads and the snap ring restrict the travel of the rack piston. With the pads and snap ring removed, you should have about 86 degrees of pitman shaft travel.
