: What sides the pressure side on gc steering box.

I was just getting ready to do the GC steering box swap. I was wondering what side is the pressure side. I think its the one closest to the front of the car(closest to the engine).

I always remember it this way. The low pressure return line to the pump reservoir is always next to the input shaft. The input shaft seal is a low pressure seal. High pressure would blow it out - all over the flexible coupling and the engine compartment.

The hydraulic seal and o-ring engineers used to work for me at what was formerly Saginaw Steering Gear Division, GMC; then Delphi Saginaw Steering; now known as Nexteer.
