I want to get the Brakes and Suspension set up on my 72 before i do anything else to the car. I figure there is a lot of knowledge here on this forum, so I want some opinions please. Car is going to mostly just be a driver. I am looking for stiff handling, but without too much bind or something dangerous.

Brakes:
98+ F body front brakes with Powerslot rotors and Hawk pads (I already have these from off my last F body, so it is great I can adapt them to the chevelle!)

98+ F body rear brakes (If I can figure out how to put them on the 12 bolt.)

Not sure what Master Cylinder yet....

Fr. Suspension:
Offset upper control arm shafts
Koni shocks
Hotchkis springs
Poly bushings
BMR Fr Swaybar 1.25"

Rr. Suspension:
Koni shocks
Hotchkis springs
BMR lower Control arms (Poly/poly)
BMR Mount braces
Edelbrock Adj. upper Control arms
BMR Swaybar Rr. 1"

I think this covers everything (except 16" or 17" wheels). I have heard from some not to use the sway bar in the rear, but want to get some more opinions. Please, let me know what you think and if this all sounds okay.

Not bad except the poly rear bushings.

Dennis, I thought that the Loweres could be Poly/Poly without too much bind? Maybe I need to look at a different set...HMMM... I saw that Jegs sells a set of Control arms that are all 4 links(Upper and lower) adjustable and rod end/poly. this may be the way to go.

Another question, is there a company that sells tupular upper (Front) control arms that are made for stock A body spindles?

Any tubular arm will work with stock spindles, will just require less shims to set camber.

You need to go re-read this (http://www.chevelles.com/forum/ultimatebb.php/topic/7/9117.html) thread about poly bushings in the rear arms.
