I need to put new rotors on my 65 Chevelle. The local auto store has 1972 rotors in stock. Are all 64-72 rotors the same. Will the 72 fit. Thanks jemoore24

John your 65 was not available with disc brakes from the factory. Many cars have been updated with single piston disc from 69-72 A bodies. Your best bet is to take your old rotor with you and compare. Is it possible you may only need your current rotors turned? Are your current rotors 1 or 2 piece? How many pistons does your current caliper have?

I bought a kit fron Baer where you use your stock drum spindles. I just need to buy the rotor and bearings. The kit has a bracket to attach to the spindle for the caliper. Does it matter if its one piece or two. Thanks jemoore24

Will the 72 Fit on my drum spindle?

John I have no idea what items are used in a Baer kit as far as rotors go. It would simple enough to give their tech line a call and find out if they use standard A body rotors or if they are compatible. I would think their kit would use standard rotors and not a propriety type, but that is only a guess on my part. As mentioned earlier you could pull one and take it to the parts store with you....Good Luck

If it was one of the higher end kits, I would think so with 4 piston calipers. You are going to need to call baer for replacement info, I doubt the factory 72 rotors will fit the calipers.

But the 72 rotors should fit your unmodified spindles.
