I just read you thred on the shop you dropped it off and was going to suggest you ask for help because someone here must live near you who can help. I hope you get some replies and get her going.

If you were a little closer to me, I would fix it for you. I just don't have the time to run all the way up to Trenton at this time. It's about an hour drive each way

EDIT: If it's an HEI distributor, the module probably went bad. If it's still a points set up, probably the points/condenser are bad.

First thing I would do is "borrow" an HEI module from the parts store (buy it and return it if it doesnt work). Im pretty sure thats the most likely culprit but, Ive been wrong before.

what Will said....if you have an Autozone or Advance nearby, they'll test the module for free. You need to remove the cap and rotor to access the module. You'll need a flathead screwdriver for the cap, probably a philips for the rotor and a 1/4" socket for the module IIRC...and some patience :)

Shoot,
Haul your car down here to the mountains and we'll get that baby going good.
Just thought I'd offer.....and I would help you out.
We'll just do whatever else you want to the car while you are here.
Sounds like you need a vacation anyway.

There you go. See there are good people in this world.
You just have to find them and be good back to them.
