My name is Martijn and I live in the Netherlands. I have a '72 El Camino.

I recently bought a windshield wiper motor form ACDelco (Item# 07-0050 from the elcaminostore.com),
which you need to wire by yourself. I knew that, and it's no problem,
but I was expecting some instructions with the package but there wasn't
any.

I already mailed the elcaminostore but I did not (yet?) get a response.

There are 2 wires coming out of the core and I don't know where to wire them to. The connector with the 3 connections is on the motor, where I can connect my connector which comes from the wiper switch to.

So I think I need to connect the 2 wires from the core to something, has anyone done this before ?

The 3 wire connector is for the wipers. The 2 wire connector is for the washer. The wiper/washer motor always has 12v anytime the key is on, (yellow wires) when the wiper switch is turned on one or more of the other wires are grounded to make it work. The ltblue and black are both grounded for low speed the ltblue only for high speed. The dkblue grounds to latch the washer pump for one cycle. 1st pic below is a pic of a 1970 wiper/washer. The 1972 wiper switch has 4 wires, the black wire on the end is a ground wire, see 3rd pic.

Thank you for your reply undee70ss

I first searched the forum for my answer, I have seen your picture multiple times. But your explanation does not answer my question.

I will try to explain it better:

My wiring in my el camino is intact. So i have the two connectors for the wiper motor and washer pump. If I install my new wiper motor I can just hook up the connecters, no problem.

The problem is that the wiring of the wiper motor itself is not complete !
The two wires coming from the core are not connected to anything !

This it what I bought:

On this image you can very good see that one wire coming out from the core is not connected. (There are 2 wires coming from the core and you need to connect them yourself). As you see the connections for the connector are in place.

My question is where do I need to connect the two wires from the core to ?

If the part that ya'll got was the motor assembly only, then the wires are spliced into the relay assembly. Cut the wires and splice the wires from the new motor into the old wires. Here are pics of the wiper motor and the relay wiring.
