I was taking a look at a rear end that a neighbor had. He tells me that it was out of a 68 gto. It was a 12 bolt posi but he said it might not fit mine but he wasnt sure.

So my question is if a 68 gto 12 bolt posi rear end will bolt up in my 70 chevelle.

Thanks,

yup, it'll bolt right in. I have a '66 olds 442 rear in my '69 Chevelle.

The BOP 12 bolts used a 10 bolt carrier, however, some Chevy type 12 bolts did make it in to BOP cars. My 69 Cutlass has a normal 12 bolt in it.

Most of the BOP differentials have the added bonus of bolt in axles....no c-clips. graemlins/hurray.gif
