Hi everyone. I am new to the Team Chevelle. I helped my 16 year old purchase a 4 door,1971 Chevelle with a 307 engine. I have been helping him work on it and get it running. We have one problem we can't resolve. The car starts fine but the electrical equipment doesn't work. No wipers, blower, lights, cig. lighter or buzzer when key is in. While driving, if I leave the wipers and blower in the on position they will come on for a second when slowing the vehicle. When slowing the GEN light will pop on and off for a second and when it does the blower and wipers will start for that second. I have replaced the battery, plugs, wires and voltage regulator. No luck. When sitting still I can not get anything to work. The brakes are not power and applying the brakes when sitting still does nothing. Any suggestions.

Sounds like bad grounds. Check all of your grounds that they are good and tight. It appears that the gen light only comes on while braking. Could be chassis flex. Meaning the motor and body momentum is wiggling wires loose or temporarily making contact.

I would check the fuse panel connection. Sometime the connection will get loose or corrode. That happen to my 69 Chevelle. It was intermitting.
