I put the new bushings I got from Autozone in the housing on my 65 and bolted up the upper control arms (the rear isn't in the car yet).
I was amazed to find that I could push the forward end of the (stock upper) control arm like 3 inches in either sideways direction (bushing deflection) without too much effort.
Now, I think I believe GW when they say that some deflection is required, but is this excessive? If I got rid of these McQuay-Norris bushings and got some Moog or other brand rubber bushings would I be happier in the long run?
Or is GW a little too much anti-poly rear and should I go get me a pair of poly bushings and be done with it? I've got a pair of poly/rubber BMR lowers to put on.
