I'm in the middle of a dash swap (sweep to SS) and will be doing the rest of the interior soon. One problem though, I'm torn between black and ivory! Black looks good with everything, but ivory compliments the stripes. I'll end up going with what I like best, but what do ya'll think?

Opinions on colors are all subjective.

Having said that...in my opinion, a black interior is a much better color combination with your exterior color.

My car is a dark blue metallic and I went with ivory (actually it's called parchment) interior. Just like you said it sets off the stripes really well. I get a lot of people who like the combination a lot. I also went with a parchment headliner but did the dash, carpet and console in a dark blue. I have a buddy who has an LS5 in your color and his is black interior. He like the parchment too and wold change if his car was not original.

My parchment takes a little more effort to keep clean, but everyone comments on it. At car-shows, people are drawn to the interior of my car like moths to a light. :D

Ivory - If I were to do it I would get the 70 pattern but in white like the 71/72 - Ivory has a tendency to look dirty in certain light. Not sure who offers the 70 interior in white but I think it's legendary.

Nice looking Chevelle! Either color would look great in your car but I think the Ivory will really make the car pop. The lighter color might be a bit cooler heat wise too

The cool thing about white/ivory interiors is that you still get to have black carpet, dash, and console, which I think looks very cool.

Here's one where you can see a little bit. My hard drive got erased awhile back and I lost a bunch of pics. I also put the white overlays on the gauge faces so they are white face too. I vote Ivory. The pic I've attached is an Ivory interior. I'm redoing it to the same color. The car is blue with white stripes. It's a good match.

Ivory Interior looks great with any dark color!

Ivory (pearl, actually). Both names are used in the literature.

Of course I'm partial to a pearl interior as that is what my 70 came with. It has white hood/deck stripes. pearl (ivory) interior (seat covers and side panels) with black carpet, dash, console and of course, black headliner/visors and rear deck (package) shelf.

With white stripes you need the ivory interior. It connects the two, plus the ivory looks great against the black dash/carpet, etc.

That color lends itself nicely to either black or Ivory. If it were me, I would go with Ivory to be different then all the other black interior cars.
