Were the Air Conditioning vent bezels on either side of the dash in 67' chrome like the repops are or were they painted?

I have my originals which are not in that greatest shape, and I can't tell if they ever were painted or chromed at one time. I'm planning on buying new repops but would like to know.

I had a '67 but it did not have the a/c option. I would figure they would have been chromed... the '65 is. Seems like painted would wear out quickly....

I'm pretty sure the bezels were painted the same color as the dash. The balls were chromed.

Ok... if he was talking bezels - the 65 is a plastic color of the dash... not painted. Balls are chrome. I still would suggest the casting of the plastic would be the dash color - nothing painted.

To my knowledge repos' dont fit as well, I bought a pair and it was not a good match . I would recondition yours if they are not cracked . I searched a while for some original pieces, and ended up using a setup from vintage air. being that my dash is not completly original and not an ac dash I thought it was the right move . If you want me to check the part # on the repo bezels I bought let me know . I think they also list them for camaros too. JOHN
