I am putting the dash back together and I am having trouble with the heater cables to the heater switch. I think I have them correct? I remember labeling the cables when I removed them from the heater box. For some odd reason the middle cable seams to be really long. But the other 2 line up correctly. Looking at the heater box the cable to the left is for the floor heater/defroster and the cable to the right I think is for the cold hot and the one in the middle is for on/off? Does any one have any pictures that would help me out?
Thanks Jason

I guess it pays to take pictures. I think the middle cable is suposed to wrap around the defroster duct? Is this correct? It is hard to tell from my pictures.

Sorry Jason but mine has a/c, therefore I think the cables are different. Maybe somebody else will chime in and help. Good luck.

Could you send me the same pic of the heater cables? Ours too is not an a/c car. And we too are having difficulties making the cables work. Thanks. sph@iowatelecom.net

Dale,
Thank you very much. The diagram helped me out and I figured out my problem. In view C I was missing #6 that clip that centers the cable on the heater box. My 2nd problem was the long cable had a 90 degree bend and I couldn't get it to line up to the lever on the heater control. I think what happened was the cable was rusted and someone before me tried to move the lever and bent the cbale. Once I staightend the cable everything went together and worked great.
The picture Dale sent me!
