Are the upper A arm shafts directional as to how they bolt on to the serrated bolts that go through the cars frame?

The shaft can be spun within the A arm. Does it matter whichside of the shaft is toward the wheel and which side goes toward the engine? I'll be assembling my front end today and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If it's not too late, the shafts are symetrical and it doesn't matter what faces which way, unless you have offset shafts. Offset shafts are obviously offset so you shouldn't be unsure of which you have.

They are the same. Just finished reassembling my suspension.

Thanks for the replies. I looked at a '66 up the street from me and it was no different than mine, so I just installed them with the part numbers in towards the engine compartment. Thanks again, Wes
