Thanks for the link, that is a good write-up, but there has also been tons of info on this board about rear disk brake swaps if you use the search function.

Personally, if you can just get the rear disk caliper brackets, I'd suggest you use 454's pinion mounted ebrake and then regular calipers on the rear... saves all the headaches of the rear disk ebrake calipers.

I know because I have the Caddy rear disks on my Chevelle!

I have done the swap too I just need to hook up the brake lines and get ebrake cables. My hardware came from a 78 sevelle

actualy I have been working on the rear brakes for almost a year now and just now getting everything together. My driver was wrecked and I bought my truck, as it is my daily driver it gets priority :(

Are you saying I can just bolt a regular GM front caliper on the Caddy brackets, eliminating the parking brake?

Hmmm...

That's what I'm saying Tony! That will be how I do the Nova, once I get some more money and all. The main thing is to make sure you match the calipers to the brackets. There are several different brackets and several different sized calipers.

Then, you just need to get ahold of Pete (aka 454, but spelled out!) and order one of his trick pinion mounted parking brake assemblies and you are good to go! So much simplier this way! Plus, the money you save from not having to buy the rear calipers at over $120 EA! Will pretty much pay for the pinion mounted brake!!
