I'm hoping one of you guys could give me some pointers on rebuilding my steering box. Actually I'm looking at replacing the seals in the bottom, it works fine just leaks fluid. I got the arm off and the retaining clip but now I can't seem to get any farther, suggestions?

For what it's worth, a parts counter guy at OPG told me he replaced those seals twice and just had them go out again and again. I'm sure he wanted me to buy their box but he said replacing it is a much better idea.
There is a recent thread on this. NAPA has a good and cheap one apparently.

You can replace the seals with the gear still in your car. You already have the pitman arm removed. Now remove the snap ring up inside the steering gear barrel. Place a pan directly under the pitman shaft. Start your engine and turn left to full lock. Both seals should come right out with a gush of fluid.
Make sure that you clean the pitman shaft to remove any corrosion products that could score the new seals before you install them.
This is the paper that describes the procedure:

I always recommend that you refill your system with genuine GM power steering fluid. The stuff that you purchase from GM dealers - not the stuff on the Pep Boys shelf.

Thanks for the help! I did turn to the left and the outer seal and washers did come out. I had to get creative to get the other one out but I got it. It's all done now and doesn't leak, thanks again!
