I have a chance to buy 8yr. old MT 28x10.5x15 slicks with tubes on ralley rims. Think the tries are still good after that many years? He says there is about 1/3 life left in them.

Opinions?

Lets just say I would not buy them for the tires. If they were your tires and they were kept in a dry climate off concrete and out the sun, and with air you see no signs of any dry craccking I would say run them, but they would be marginal to get a good hook from them. The oils in slicks will dry over time making them hard, thus not good for traction.

Thank you both so much! I'll pass on this set and keep looking.
