Once you've heard roar- rrrrrrRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRrrRRR RRrrrrrrr of the engines hours on end they become boring, tiresome, and just plane obnoxious. The swoosh of the jet engines is even worse. They add nothing to that video clip. Videos are -well- Visual.

The video does give you still another chance to voice your opinion - again and again and again and again. And the opportunity for a shameless plug of the same A26 starting again and again and again. :)

I used to make alot of the air shows in Breckenridge Tx. Many people don't realize just how big the CAF planes are in this little town. Heres a link to a few of the planes my Dad has had over the years. I was able to go up a few times with him in the AT-6. Quite a thrilling experience.

Does that mean you're tired of listening to NASCAR cars, Outlaw cars, Top fuelers, Blown drag boats, F15s, B1s, B52s, FIFI, growling diesel locomotives as they're pulling a grade? At Tinker, I work straight across the street from the AWACS unit. I love to here them run up and smell the jet exhaust in the morning (ever smelled napalm in the morning?). Ever been out on the line when a B1 starts its takeoff roll with all 4 engines at full afterburner? GOD! It's great! When I'm at the airport and Dave or Doc Hisey is firing up one of their planes, I can't get close enough, smell enough or watch enough. When I go to the lake, I seek out the boats with the Big Block Chevy engines just to listen to them sing across the lake.
Nope, I ain't bored yet. :D

Here is a video of 'Sweet and Lovely' a previous Oshkosh champion. Both Sweet and Rebel will be there again next year.

The montage of pictures along with the sentiment of the music made this video a BIG hit with those involved with long process of the build.

Oh ya, and in the movies Top Gun and that NASCAR movie (I forget the name), I got up and left in the middle of both of them. THERE AIN'T NO HARD ROCK MUSIC INSIDE AN AF FIGHTER AND THERE AIN'T NO BLASTING MUSIC GOING ON AT A NASCAR TRACK! Sorry, but the blasting music completely took away from the realism and the effect of the movies!

Way too cool. My uncle flew 86 combat missions in WW II in B-17's, 24's and 29's in the 308th Bomb Group/375th Squadron in China under General Chenault in the 14th Air Force. He would have loved the video and the music. I never got tired of his stories about those planes.
