I have a 2007 Silverado Classic and am buying new front pads and rotors. I went to pep boys since they sell Hawk Pads and they gave me part number HB322F.717. When I checked the Hawk website, they say part number HB561F.710. Does anyone know which would be the correct part number to use? I am inclined to go with Hawk's number.

Also, in looking at brake rotors the number pep boys gave me for bendix rotors was 145582 and the bendix website has 145259. Again inclined to go with the bendix website.

This whole 2007 Classic title seems to screw people up...isn't it just a 2006 truck or did they do some new parts on it?

Thanks

I can't answer your questions but from my experience with newer chevy trucks my advice is to go to the dealer and buy yourself STOCK pads, they will last a lot longer. As far as rotors go the stock ones are POS's I have Baer rotors on mine but any GOOD quality rotor would be fine, brembo makes some nice ones

I installed new Carquest rotors ( All 4 ) and the top of the line Pads about a month ago on my 03 FWD x cab Silverado. I should have done what I always done in the past. Three days ago, I removed the front Carquest Pads, Why Toooooo Much dust !
I thought I was saving money ( B.S. ) ! Installed the very pricey " OEM Chevy Pads " G.M. pads Last Long and no dirty wheels.

Buy HB561Z.710 - the performance ceramic pad. I originally bought stock GM pads for my '05 Sierra and they squeaked like crazy. Threw them as far away from my truck as I could and installed the Hawk HB561Z.710. No noise, less dust, and all-around better performance than stock pads. You won't regret the Hawk pads.

I've heard that ceramics are rough on the rotors and don't have very good "cold" stopping ability. Have you noticed either of these?

I thought originals were ceramic on those.

Haven't seen any of those issues on my vehicles.

My 05 Sierra originally came with ceramic pads, I'm sure other years did as well.
