Just took the back seat out of the 66 to install the trunk divider and package tray and insulation.

Getting the back cushion back in, and latched on the hold downs was near impossible. Took beating on the springs to push them rearward and prying the seat rearward while sitting on it.

Are there any tricks or techniques I am missing?

Does look a bit nicer with a package tray, though.

I've done a few and every once in awhile theres one like yours,not fun.
Once i was in a wrestling match with one and it was winning then i kicked its a** (even did the victory dance) than i noticed a couple seat belts fell behind it during the a** woopn i laid on it.Had to take it back out and that was harder than getting it in.

I dont think theres a special tool made for it(?).One of those man it in there things.Thanks for sharing i was starting to think i was a loner.

They can be a pain sometimes... ya just gotta be meaner then the seat is and it will all work.
