A bearing failed on my alternator in my 96 S-10 this week, and having never played with alternators before I decided it was time to learn and ripped into it to rebuild it. I'm not sure how much it matters, but I believe this is a CS130D.

Upon getting the rotor apart, I noticed a lot of wear on the shaft where the brushes ride. Attached are some photos of this.

Is this rotor no good?

Also, as you can see in the photos the inner race of the bearing is still on the shaft. How would I remove it?
