Does anyone have a "easy to find at the part store" idea for front brake hoses? I just installed discs. Thanks in advance.

My brother just did a disk conversion on his 66 elky using the stock drum brake hose mounts. He is out of town this weekend but I will try and get in touch with him next week to find the part #'s of the hoses he used if you don't already have an answer by then.

If you still have drum brake style hose brackets, get '69 CAMARO disc hoses. Chevelle disc hoses will be 1" shorter, and get very tight when you turn the wheels.

You will need to do a little bit of grinding on the brackets to get the hoses to fit.

It depends on the calipers. Do you have the og 4piston or do you have the 69 up style single piston calipers. Use the oe replacement for 4 piston or use the 69 hoses for use with the single. The braket at the frame will need to filed to fit the Disc hose if it still has the drum brackets. You can also use stainless hoses from the likes of Russel, Earls or Goodridge and improve the pedal feel.

Bret...I just installed an Earl's steel braided brakeline kit for a '69 camaro on my '66 Malibu today. Both fronts and the rear cost @75.00 delivered from Summit. I recently went thru the "which lines to use" dilema and think that tha performance gain was worth the few extra bucks. HTH..............terence
