I read in an old magazine that increasing the length of the pitman arm will reduce the turns lock to lock of my steering. Has anyone heard of this? Does it work? Ive got a 65 Chevelle with standard steering and was wondering, if this is true can I replace my pitman arm with a longer unit? If so any idea from what?

Not likely. A longer pitman would make the steering linkage hit the engine crossmember.
